Cleo
Cleo has nice sizes in early plantings. This cantaloupe variety not only has a very good storage life, but its attractive, firm flesh will catch attention.

Magenta
Magenta has quality and flavor. Not only will the unique internal color of Magenta attract consumers, but its small seed cavity makes this variety adaptable for both fresh and processing markets. Magenta has shown to provide optimum size with extended shelf-life and is well-suited for early plantings in both greenhouses and open field.

SXM 7208
This a Western shipper produces very large-sized melons in adverse conditions. SXM 7208 has the ability to provide high yields while maintaining a consistent quality level. Fruit are firm with good shipping and storage characteristics. SXM 7208 has performed well in trials in California and Mexico.

Sakata Seed

Avenger
One of Sakata’s next generation broccoli varieties, Avenger is excellent for crown and fresh-cut. Avenger offers smooth, dome shaped, tight, heavy, blue-green heads with short bracts, thick stems and very small beads making it great for fresh processed broccoli. This variety offers wide adaptability performing well in multiple growing areas.

XON 301W
This new intermediate hybrid white onion has a very consistent globe shape and nice brilliant white scale, averaging jumbo in size. XON 301W has mid-early maturity and offers a high percentage of single centered onions.

Copperhead Carrot
Copperhead (SCR 9840) is a nice variety for cut and peel. This variety offers good yields of medium tall (10 inches to 11 inches long), slightly tapered roots with a semi-blunt tip. Copperhead has vigorous tops, great root length and color.

Gold Coast
New from Sakata’s melon program, Gold Coast is a medium-large western shipper cantaloupe averaging 9s, 12s and 15s with mid maturity. This variety has a round-oval shape with a ropey net, small cavity and dark orange flesh.

Snow Mass
This medium-sized honeydew (5s, 6s, 8s) offers excellent fruit quality. Snow Mass has a very smooth rind, yielding round to slightly oblong fruit. The cavity is tight with light green, extremely sweet flesh with 13 percent to 15 percent brix.

SeedWay

Watermelon
Harmony (red), Buttercup (yellow) and Orange Sweet are all watermelon varieties from SeedWay. Harmony is a new deep-red seedless watermelon with exceptional internal quality. It’s firm-crisp, fine-textured flesh lends itself to fresh-cut use. In our trials, Harmony has the best combination of sweetness, color and sound, firm flesh.
Buttercup has a beautiful yellow color and the best available interior quality with a firm texture.
Orange Sweet requires a very good grower and so is best used as a color accent.

Matsumo
For markets requiring a consistent mild sweet cabbage flavor, wherever and whenever it’s grown, Matsumo fits the bill. High yields and a good disease resistance package helps ensure a reliable supply.

Kossah Giant Kohlrabi
This uniquely large kohlrabi, Kossah Giant Kohlrabi, has the tender-crisp texture of a carrot and a mild sweet and juicy flavor. It’s best use is sliced or “sticked” and packed with other raw snacking vegetables.
